Four people killed in collision near Blaine Lake

Three vehicles collided Saturday afternoon

Four people were killed in a collision Saturday afternoon.

RCMP were called to a three-vehicle collision on Highway 12 around 1:30 p.m. A grand prix, civic and minivan were involved in the crash near Blaine Lake.

Police said the the four deceased victims are Curtis Lafond, 45, from the Mont Nebo area. Brittany Omani, 19, and Lillian Arcand, 81, from Muskeg Lake Cree Nation. And Amy Arcand, 21, from Mistawasis First Nation.

Police said alcohol is believed to a factor in this collision.

Three others were injured and taken to hospital in Saskatoon.

Accident reconstructionists are continuing their investigation on the scene to try and piece together what happened.
