The flooding in Weyburn has pretty much washed away the city's trailer park.

Bart Sorpold is the owner and says pretty much everyone was affected.

"A 100 per cent lost would probably be six or eight right about now," he said.

At this point he can't estimate what the damage total is for those that will be salvageable. That's because they have varying levels of problems trailer to trailer.

He says the residents of the trailer park have really bonded together like a small family.

"(They) woke up and waded through the water knocking on doors one-to-another until the officials showed up with a boat to get to the last of them," he said.

Sorpold says many of the people who've lived in the park more than 30 years have never seen flooding of this proportion.
