Evacuated home in Roche Percee robbed
A home in Roche Percee, Saskatchewan was broken into while the owners were away following the flooded town’s evacuation order.
Reg and Judy Jahn returned to Roche Percee on Tuesday to check on their house after flooding devastated the small southeast Saskatchewan village.
The couple was happy to discover that their home was one of the few unaffected by the floods, until they realized it had been robbed in their absence.
Reg says it’s bad, but he keeps thinking of how the community came together to help each other during the floods.
“It’s just too bad that there are a couple of people out there that seem to want to kick you when you’re down. But the good sure do outweigh the bad,” said Reg.
Reg says there were things taken that cannot be replaced.
RMCP continue to patrol the area hoping to prevent similar incidents from happening.
