An Edmonton man is recovering in a Saskatoon hospital after being attacked west of the city early Thursday morning.

Police found the 41-year-old man on 33rd Street West near the Dalmeny Highway. He told police he left a party on Idylwyld Drive with several people around 6 a.m.

He thought the group was heading to a store, but the man was allegedly driven west, attacked, robbed and abandoned.

Police say the victim was not able to provide many details about the suspects. Three of the men are described as First Nations while the fourth man is said to be Caucasian.

It's believed they were driving a newer model grey SUV.
