Lukas Nicolas has admitted that he is responsible for the death of Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League player Myles Cameron.
According to CJGX in Yorkton, Nicolas of the Beardy’s First Nation has pleaded guilty to drunk driving causing death.
Cameron was 20 years old when he was killed in December 2010 near his hometown of Duck Lake.
Police say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
Cameron played for the Yorkton Terriers and the Ochapowace Thunder of the Prairie Junior Hockey League.
The 20-year-old Nicolas will be sentenced on Oct. 31 in a Saskatoon courtroom.
