City council got their wish the City of Regina has taken control of the exhibition grounds.
City council voted Monday night to convert the 100-million dollars in land and buildings into a city-run, non-profit corporation.
The Exhibition Association had been a stand-alone organization for 105 years.
There won't be much impact on the roughly 170 full-time and 600 part-time workers.
Taking over the operation of the exhibition grounds also fits into one of the proposed plans for building a new stadium on that site.
