Attempted abduction at Regina Beach
For the second time in three days, Saskatchewan RCMP responded to a report of attempted abduction, this time at Regina Beach.
On Saturday afternoon Lumsden RCMP received complaints about a drunken man at Regina Beach.
When police arrived on scene a woman claimed that her four year old daughter was grabbed by a man fitting the description of the intoxicated person.
RCMP Sergeant Paul Dawson says the woman had to grab her daughter back from the man.
"She had told him to let the daughter go, and he had refused and she had to take the daughter from his arm," said Dawson.
Police were able to find 49-year-old George Stephen Roberts and charge him with abduction of a person under 14.
Three days earlier, an 11-year-old girl said she was lured into a car at the Yorkton Exhibition before escaping from the vehicle, five kilometres down the road.
