There was a big delay for traffic headed across the Senator Sid Buckwold Bridge into downtown this morning.
An accident on the bridge created a bottleneck of traffic that reached as far back as the Ruth Street exit.
According to one commuter is started as a simple rear-ending.
"One vehicle looks like it must have rear-ended the other vehicle and pushed it up on top of the barrier on the right hand side of the lane. So it was up and hanging over the barrier there on the bridge," he said.
Emergency crews were on the scene. There is no word yet on injuries, but tow-trucks were on scene to clear the accident quickly.
Traffic is now starting to flow again.
