With no more campaign days left on the calendar, voters in Saskatoon today are heading to the polls for the 2012 civic election.

To make voting easier this year and to encourage new voters to exercise their franchise, the City of Saskatoon has created an interactive poll finder site

Polls are opened from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters can also track down their nearest polling station using an app developed by Apps4Good which pinpoints a user’s location and draws an easy-to-follow walking route.

To learn more about the candidates, there’s a bevy of websites voters can access, including:

Whitespaces’ yxevotes.com

The City of Saskatoon’s voter guide  or civic election website.

On election day, News Talk Radio will be covering the action live, providing up-to-the-minute updates on what’s happening at city hall and at campaign headquarters.
