Sudden death now a suspicious one
Story Tools

A sudden death is now considered a suspicious one. Police were called to a downtown apartment building last week after a 20 year old man was found dead in a parking lot. Someone walking noticed the body laying motionless on the ground at around midnight, on Tuesday, July 20th.

An autopsy shows Ahmed Abdi Mohamud died from a fall. Police have since tracked down clear, definitive, video surveillance footage of five men coming and going through the lobby of that building at around the same time of Mohamud's death. But Alyson Edwards with Saskatoon Police isn't saying if Mohamud's death was accidental, or not.

"We don't know that yet. But what we need to find out from the public is if anyone saw anything suspicious in nature. And obviously we want to identify these males, so that we're able to talk with them to see if they do know anything," said Edwards.

Police are also asking anyone who was in the 300 block of 6th avenue North at around 11:30 pm, on July 20th to call them.
