A mother and her 11 month old son are in hospital after a two vehicle crash north of Saskatoon. The women's vehicle collided with another driven by a 64 year old women along highway 12, just north of Saskatoon. It happened at around 1:30 when one vehicle apparently missed a stop sign. Troy Davies with M-D Ambulance says the older women was seriously hurt. Crews needed to use the jaws of life to free her from her vehicle.

" With that type of speed, that the accident occurred at, and with the amount of the injuries that could be going on inside, we pretty much have to assume the worst of her injuries," said Davies.

We're told one of the vehicles may have missed a stop sign. Earlier this morning a Warman man lost his life in a similar crash only about three k's from this latest crash. The intersection is known for its serious accidents, and is being reviewed by the Department of Highways.
