The FNUC Student's Association attended the FSIN legislative assembly Wednesday, looking for accountability from their First Nations leaders when it comes to allegations surrounding their school.

Cadmus Delorme spoke on behalf of the union, and told News Talk Radio the mood of the meeting changed after Advanced Education Minister Rob Norris' announcement. "Our spirits were up, right until about 4:10 p.m. and we got the news that our funding is cut. There was a lot of hope in what we were asking for but it was short lived until we got the report that Norris did cut the funding."

Delorme alludes to a division in the meeting, but didn't expand on what the division was about.

He adds the funding cut was a "huge blow" to the FNUC Student's Association, but understands the Minister had to take action.
