A woman is adding onto her already-unusual home.

In January, Andrea Lawrence bought an old church on Kijiji for $1,000.  However, Lawrence already lives in another old church she renovated in the Qu'Appelle Valley.  She admitted it was somewhat of an impulse buy when she was just browsing the website.

She was soon the owner of the St. Mary's Anglican Church in Cupar.  After making the purchase, Lawrence phoned her mother.

"And I said, didn't Granddad have a ministry around here?  Wasn't he a part of a parish around here?  And she said yes, St. Mary's in Cupar."  Not only was her grandfather the minister there from 1944-1950, her mother was also baptized in the same church.

The ground is already excavated on her property, and the new building was moved onto it on Thursday.  Lawrence admitted it may take some time to lay the foundation since the cost to buy and move the church used up a lot of her savings.

At first, Lawrence thought the new building would be used as an addition onto her home.  Now, the digital artist may convert the building into an art gallery.
