A 28-year-old man is charged with impaired driving after a two-vehicle crash early Sunday morning.

Police said a black truck heading northbound on Lewvan Drive shortly after 1 a.m. collided with a second black-coloured vehicle heading eastbound on First Avenue North.

Emergency workers attending to the scene said the driver of the vehicle heading eastbound suffered undetermined injuries while the driver of the truck was transported to hospital for minor injuries. He was later charged with impaired driving, said police.

The northbound traffic on Lewvan Drive is now reopened after vehicles were diverted to go westbound on First Avenue North, said police. The eastbound traffic on First Avenue North has also been reopened after vehicles were rerouted to head southbound on Lewvan Drive.

The Traffic and Forensic Identification Units are investigating the crash.
