How does your money impact prostate health in Saskatchewan?
Donations to the St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation benefit the Leslie & Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health:
In 2011, John Gormley of News Talk 650 CKOM & our friends at PotashCorp wanted to raise significant funds for the Leslie & Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health at St. Paul’s Hospital. The centre is vital because it provides the best detection and treatment options available, along with a patient advocate to help navigate patients through the care system.
Last year, guests of The Gormley Gathering demonstrated extraordinary generosity as revenues exceeded $103,655.00 for the Leslie and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health at St. Paul’s Hospital. “We wanted to heighten awareness about prostate cancer and other urological diseases and reach out to our community to raise money for this event,” says CKOM talk show personality and ‘Gathering’ host John Gormley. “Enormous thanks to everyone who stepped up this year.” “The money raised at this event will help support the renovation of the hospital’s new 18-bed surgical unit for patients undergoing prostate and other urology surgeries,” says Mercedes Montgomery, St. Paul's Hospital Foundation Board Chair. “As this is the first annual event,’ the Foundation is looking forward to this ongoing partnership and what we will achieve together.”
