Gary Nickle's blog
Seriously, we always hear about how different Riders do different things for their community, but this guy is taking it over the top. First of all, the fan favorite figured the best way to make a difference in his city, was to become a member of the Regina City Council, so he ran, and now, he's representing Ward 10.
For the first time in my life, things finally came up Gary. I have been a pretty big nerd for a long time, and by nerd, I mean a sports nerd. Fantasy sports have been a big part of my life for over ten years now, and although my free online Fantasy Locker with Yahoo is packed with trophies, whenever money is involved, I lose.
I sure can. I have to quote the great Philadelphia Collins (Another Trailer Park Boys drop for you , obviously, don't click the link if you are offended by very strong language!) because we are looking at the perfect storm. Growing up as a Boston Bruins fan, I was taught to hate, and I mean HATE Montreal. This hatred grew once I started French class at John Lake School, and Madame Zuk realized that I was a bit of a problem child. Once she started taking away my recess time, I took it out on the Canadiens.
We're Going (Sports) Streaking, Through The Quad, Then To The Gymnasium, Bring Your Green Hat!!
May 7th, 2010
My man Jamie Nye did a blog on Tuesday about streakers in sports after that Phillies fan fell victim to a lazy security guard. Now, I have been tasered, and let me tell you, it is a pretty greasy experience (No I didn't try to fight a cop, or expose myself to a person or people, or anything ridiculous like that, I got volunteered by the RCMP officers showing off the new weapon, while covering the event during my old news reporter days).
It's quite funny how ideas for blogs come to fruition. Like Tuesday for instance, I was on my way to see my stunningly beautiful, all around super awesome chiropractor, when all of a sudden, I got cut off by a bus.
First thing that went through my head was this, C'mon Man!! Then I got to thinking...... "Who would have to be on that bus for me to not loose my marbles......" Then the idea hit me like a Marty Mcsorley stick swing. I can write about this, and so a blog was born!
The 2010 NHL playoffs have been freaking awesome. Exciting finishes are occuring more than terrible cheesy lines and jumping spear tosses from those big blue things in that disasterously terrible Avatar movie. (Too much? Honestly, the worst movie I have ever seen, and I've seen Star Wars The Phantom Menace!!!) You want a good movie?
Would Sports Illustrated's Jimmy Traina Be Friends With A Saskatchewanian?
April 16th, 2010
Over my five years with the Drew Remenda Sports Show/Sports Night, I have developed some pretty unique relationships with some pretty hilarious people. One of my favorites has always been Jimmy Traina with Sports Illustrated. He is a senior producer with SI.com, as well, he is in charge of the Extra Mustard page, and writes the Hot Clicks Blog. I haven't talked with him in awhile, so I decided to catch up and see how he's doing.

Obey Your Master, Master! Master of Golfing I'm Pulling Your Strings!
April 9th, 2010
It's finally here, the greatest golf tournament in the world. Sure, the other three Majors are fantastic tournaments, but Tiger chose to make his return at The Masters for many reasons. I guess some of them had to do with the extreme security, the last thing he needs is a drunk heckler telling him his statline with prostitutes, but more than that, most of golf's greatest moments have happened at Augusta.
OK, Clap Clap, Blue Jays, Clap Clap, Let's, Clap, Play, Clap, Ball, Clap Clap!!!
April 1st, 2010
I freaking love this time of year. Hockey playoffs (What was that Jim Mora? PLAY OFFS?????) are getting ready to go, just got the cabin booked in Waskesiu for the 2010 Mangler Cup golf tournament, and of course, the Blue Jays are about to kick off their regular season in Texas.
Game number 1 of 162 is set to go April 5th, at 12:05 pm. The team is still putting the finishing touches on the opening day roster, but we have a pretty good idea of what it's going to look like.
So Wrestlemania 26 is this Sunday, I found this out by flipping through the channels the other night, and stumbled upon a little show called WWE Vintage, I think that is what it's called, either way they were showing past Wrestlemania matches. Unfortunatly for me, they were showing Kane vs Taker, back when Paul Bearer turned on Taker, to back his "Brother" Kane. First off, if you follow The Undertaker and Wrestlemanias, you know who won, but Kane is just so freaking brutal, that I had to change the channel.
