It was another record-breaking day of heat in Saskatchewan on Saturday, especially in the southern part of the province.
More than a dozen places blazed new record high temperatures, with many surpassing 40 C, according to Environment Canada.
Three communities set all-time record highs. Assiniboia reached 41.1 C, melting the old record of 40.5 C set in June 1988.
Broadview topped 39.4 C, beating a 1981 record, while the mercury went all the way up to 40. 9 C in Val Marie to beat its old record of 40.6 C set in 1949.
Moose Jaw was the hot spot in Canada Saturday, setting an August-high of 42.3 C.
