Fans are reminded to plan ahead before venturing out to the Sasktel Centre Wednesday to see Rod Stewart.
Stewart is making his first trip back to Saskatoon since 2005. But he isn’t bringing multiple opening acts with him this time around.
This means Stewart is expected to hit the stage at 8 p.m.
With doors at SaskTel Centre set to open at 7 p.m., city officials issued a reminder urging people attending the show to get to the arena as early as possible, in an effort to prevent the kinds of traffic issues seen two weeks ago ahead of a speaking engagement by Michelle Obama.
Saskatoon Transit is offering its usual special event stop running at 23rd Street and 2nd Avenue downtown near the 2nd Avenue Lofts building. Fare for the trip is $3, with return buses dropping patrons back off at the downtown terminal.
The first bus leaves at 6:45 p.m.
Fans can also catch buses to Sasktel Centre from Market Mall, Centre Mall and Lawson Heights Mall between 6:45 p.m. and 7:45 p.m. for a round-trip fare of $5.
