A Snowfall warning is now in effect for Saskatoon, Martensville, Warman, Outlook, Watrous, Humboldt, Wynyard, Moose Jaw, Fort Qu’Appelle, Regina, Yorkton, Kamsack and surrounding areas.
A complex weather system will bring a swath of around 10 cm of snow across southern Saskatchewan today. There will likely be periods of very low visibility in the heavy snow and local blowing snow.
This band of heavy snow will push out of the province and into Manitoba tonight.
A second push of extreme winter weather is expected for parts of southern Saskatchewan beginning late Sunday and persisting through Monday. Travellers should be aware that this weather system will affect a large portion of the Canadian Prairies.
If visibility is reduced while driving, slow down, watch for tail lights ahead and be prepared to stop.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
