A North Battleford man, 19, and Christopher Lake woman, 22, face several charges after calls to Blaine Lake RCMP Friday evening about a truck that swerved and passed drivers on the shoulder of Highway 12 while speeding.
Around 6:30 p.m., as the truck headed south, RCMP contacted Saskatoon police who put unmarked cruisers at the northern entrance to the city on Highway 11 and Highway 12.
Soon after the truck sped into the city on Highway 12 swerving, the unmarked Saskatoon police vehicles and a canine unit followed as the driver went south on Idylwyld Drive North then east on Circle Drive North.
Police deflated the tires when it was safe and the driver eventually stopped at Highway 11 just south of the Circle Drive cloverleaf.
The man and woman were arrested without incident and are set to see a Justice of the Peace Saturday.
