Rob Gronkowski called it. The Philaldelphia Eagles may regret it.
When asked this week if he thought he would be able to clear concussion protocol, Patriots receiver Rob Gronkowski said he was confident he would.
He did, and now he will play Sunday.
This tips the scales even more in favour of the team that was already favoured. Don’t get me wrong, the Eagles have a great defence. They would not be in the Super Bowl with just a defence that was just average.
However, last week in the AFC championship, Brandin Cooks had a 100 yard game while Danny Amendola had two touchdowns. Give Tom Brady another weapon such as Gronkowski and you have a Philadelphia defence that may be stretched to the max.
Gronkowski’s return from injury gives Tom Brady that mix of possession receivers and big play capability we’ve seen time and time again.
My heart says Philadelphia; my head says the Eagles will be in tough.
It’ll be the Patriots by 11.
