Farmer Brian Kohlman documented a fire that destroyed his elevator Saturday afternoon in Tramping Lake, 105 kilometres southwest of North Battleford, through his twitter account.

Around 6 a.m. Sunday Kohlman posted that “first light after elevator fire. That is 35,000 bu of yellow peas mixed in.What a mess. My brother and I spent the night keeping watch.”

Kerrobert Fire and Rescue posted an update on it’s Facebook page around 1 p.m. Saturday that said they remained on scene and asked people to stay clear of the area.
Kerrobert officials told 650 CKOM Sunday morning crews from Unity and Wilkie helped bring the blaze under control by about 8 p.m.
Crews stayed on the scene until around 12:20 a.m. Sunday to look out for any remain hot spots.
The cause of the blaze is unknown at this time.
