650 CKOM regained control of its official Facebook page Tuesday morning after it was taken over by a hacker.
The account was compromised early Monday morning, at which point staff notified the social media site.
The news organization’s profile and cover photos were changed and a couple of posts were added to the page by the offending party.
The images were changed back Monday afternoon and a post – not written or approved by 650 CKOM staff – was added publicly claiming the page had been restored.
Facebook officially returned control of the page to 650 CKOM staff Tuesday morning.
