Saskatchewan’s Andrew Albers will get his latest shot at the big leagues on Tuesday night.
The 31-year-old from North Battleford is the scheduled starter as his Seattle Mariners host the Baltimore Orioles.
Albers was acquired by the Mariners from the Atlanta Braves a week ago. The Mariners are without star pitcher Felix Hernandez and Canadian ace James Paxton due to injury.

“It’s hard to put into words right now,” Albers told the Seattle Times on Monday. “You never know when these opportunities are going to come up or how many of them you’re going to get.”
In 2017 Albers is one of the best pitchers in the minor leagues, carrying a 12-3 record and a 2.61 ERA in 17 starts with Atlanta’s AAA affiliate team.
