Saskatoon police are reminding drivers once again to slow down in construction zones.
The Saskatoon Police Service traffic unit was out Tuesday near the intersection of Highway 16 and Boychuk Drive, where construction is underway on a new interchange.
Police tweeted Wednesday that officers doled out $18,000 worth of fines, catching some 50 speeders in a three-and-a-half-hour period.
In Saskatchewan, speed fines triple inside construction zones.
The Highway 16 and Boychuk Drive interchange is expected to be completed in the summer of 2019.
Orange zone tickets yesterday Boychuk & 16. Over $18,000 in fines. More than 50 speeders in 3.5 hours. #SlowDownYXE. WOW ……
