An agreement has been reached between the Co-op refinery and Unifor 594.
The union of more than 800 workers voted on Monday night either to accept or reject a tentative deal that was reached on Friday.
No details of the tentative deal were provided in the email, but members were told another email would be sent with that information.
“While this deal is not the deal we wanted, it will be accompanied with a recommendation,” read the note.
Just after 8 p.m. both the refinery and the union posted to their social media accounts saying the union agreed to the tentative agreement.
The membership has voted to ratify the tentative agreement. #594
