A Saskatoon woman is counting her lucky stars.
Or, more accurately, her lucky 50/50 tickets.
The Saskatchewan Rush announced Thursday one of their fans won her second 50/50 jackpot in back-to-back seasons.
Kim Staples brought home $49,840 from the Jan. 27 game against the Vancouver Stealth.
She also netted the prize at the Jan. 15, 2016 game last season – taking away $12,907.50.
“I couldn’t believe it,” Staples said. “It was crazy and I was like ‘ok check this again and make sure it’s right’.”
Combined, she’s won $62,747.50.
“It is absolutely remarkable,” Andrea Haughian, vice president of marketing and partnerships for the Saskatchewan Rush, wrote in a statement.
The other half of every 50/50 jackpot goes to the Saskatchewan Lacrosse Association, which provides opportunities to youth minor lacrosse across the province.
The next home game for the Saskatchewan Rush at SaskTel Centre is Feb. 18.
