A Saskatoon police officer has pleaded guilty to drunk driving.
Const. Trenton Dament was sentenced Jan. 11 after entering his plea earlier this month.
He was sentenced to a 12-month driving ban and a $1,000 fine.
Dament crashed his vehicle into a curb at 8th Street and Boychuk Drive on Dec. 16. He was arrested at the scene after his roadside assistance system notified police of the collision.
The 12-year SPS veteran has been confined to administrative duties since the incident.
A police spokesperson said Dament will continue on those duties until an internal investigation is completed.
