Pre-season NHL hockey returns to Saskatoon in 2017 in a game that will see the Edmonton Oilers take on the Carolina Hurricanes.
John Graham with On-Ice Management is confident both teams will dress some of their best players.
“We really fight to make sure, when we bring the games, that we do have them positioned so that they get the right rosters, out of respect for the fans,” Graham said.
“I’m very confident that we’re going to get very good rosters.”
Peter Chiarelli, the president of hockey operations and general manager for the Oilers, is looking forward having his team back in Saskatoon.
“Any time you get a chance to bring NHL hockey to another market it’s a thrill and something we’ve enjoyed doing in our previous visits to Saskatoon,” Chiarelli said.
“We know we have a lot of Oiler fans in Saskatchewan.”
The game is slated for Sept. 27, 2017 at SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.
