Biggar RCMP are investigating after a man was reportedly shot and killed near Biggar, Sask. Tuesday afternoon.
Officers responded to the incident in the R.M. of Glenside, located around 90 kilometres northwest of Saskatoon, around 5:30 p.m.
Police said five people in a vehicle drove onto a rural property and were confronted by the landowners.
The property owners and the people in the vehicle were not known to each other, according to police.
Police said at least one shot was fired after a verbal exchange, leaving a man in the vehicle dead.
A man, a woman and a girl who were in the car were arrested as part of an ongoing theft investigation. Police said they’re still looking for a boy who was allegedly in the car.
Another man, who police described as being associated to the property, was also taken into custody.
Police said an autopsy is scheduled to determine the identity of the man who got shot.
As of Thursday morning, RCMP have not laid charges in connection to the death.
