Attendance numbers for this year’s Queen City Ex are on pace with last year.
Paula Kohl, director of marketing and communications for Evarz Place, said the numbers look good.
“We are on track with our attendance numbers from last year, where we had in total just over 209,000.”
Kohl said the numbers have met their expectations.
“Anytime we’re around 200,000, we consider it a successful year.”
Kohl said the weather has helped attendance at this year’s exhibition.
“We had mother nature playing some tricks on us with the high winds and a little bit of rain … but the other days have just been beautiful.”
Besides the weather, Kohl credits many of the attractions at this event for drawing the crowds.
“There’s lots to do here this year … lots of new food and attractions, and rides … it’s a staple in the Regina community.”
Kohl said the musical acts at this year’s exhibition have also been major attractions.
“We had a lot of good acts … it’s one of the best prices for a concert that I have ever seen, you pay your gate admission and you get access to great entertainment, we had a packed house on Friday night for April Wine and Lover Boy … We had Dallas Smith on Thursday night, another packed house.”
