Environment Canada issued a severe thunderstorm watch Tuesday afternoon while conditions were favourable for dangerous thunderstorms that could produce strong wind, large hail and torrential rain in Saskatoon and the surrounding area.
Golf ball sized hail was reported in Kindersley around 5 p.m. Tuesday, and further south near Swift Current there was hail the size of tennis balls.
There have even been reports of hail the size of a baseball.
According to Environment Canada, scattered severe thunderstorms are tracking northeast and the storms are likely to continue into the evening.
