Thousands of dollars worth of drugs were seized by Estevan police this week, after a bust on Wednesday night.
A home on the 700 block of 5 Street was raided by police around 7:00 p.m.
When officers searched the home, they say they found 8 kilos of marijuana, 40 grams of a marijuana derivative known as “shatter”, and equipment often used for trafficking drugs. The drugs were estimated to be worth $82,000.
Denis Hein, 56, was allegedly arrested after wielding a machete. He’s facing charges of possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking marijuana, possession of cannabis resin for the purpose of trafficking, trafficking cannabis resin, production of cannabis resin, assault with a weapon, and possession of a weapon dangerous to the public.
He made his first appearance in court on Friday.
