Two units at the Pioneer Village senior care home in Regina have been on isolation since before the new year.
The Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region calls it being on outbreak. The first unit went on outbreak on Dec. 29, the second on Dec. 30, for a bug that was going around. The health region said it’s a common procedure done to stop a bug or virus from spreading. As of Sunday, eight residents in the home were sick.
In this situation residents are asked to stay in their rooms, and visitors are asked only to come if they need to.
