A Hanley school was in a hold and secure drill following an alleged armed robbery at a nearby business.
At around 11:18 a.m. Friday RCMP received a call from the Hanley Hotel about an armed robbery.
The Hanley Composite School quickly went into a hold and secure mode, locking all exterior doors and windows. The hold and secure was lifted a few hours later
RCMP say that a man entered the business armed with a firearm and demanded cash. He fled from the business on foot with an unknown amount of cash and in an unknown direction. The lone employee was not injured during the robbery.
The suspect is described as wearing a dark coloured hoodie with a dark scarf covering most of the suspect’s face.
Saskatoon RCMP, along with Warman and Vonda RCMP, and Saskatoon RCMP Police Dog Service continue to investigate the incident and follow-up on leads.
