Saskatoon police are investigating the city’s 12th armed robbery since the beginning of October, and the seventh armed robbery in seven days.
Police reported that a masked man with a hand gun robbed the Stop N’ Go Confectionery in the Dundonald neighbourhood around 10 p.m. Wednesday. A canine unit was brought in to try and track the suspect, but it was unsuccessful.
The man is described as being between five feet, nine inches and five feet, 11 inches tall, wearing a purple and white bandana over his face, a grey and white plaid jacket and black pants. He was also carrying a black backpack.
This was the second armed robbery to take place that day. The first was around 4 p.m. at a gas station on Confederation Drive. A 41-year-old man was arrested shortly after.
Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to call Saskatoon police at 306-975-8300 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
