A man and woman both face a long list of charges after allegedly leading police on a pursuit in Regina Monday night, and pepper spraying an officer.
The pair were in a vehicle that tried to flee police; officers had been trying to pull it over because it didn’t have a licence plate. The pursuit took officers to the Glen Elm area where an officer was sprayed by the suspects who then stole a taxi cab from its driver.
Charges have now been laid against 28-year-old Chelsea Brooke Colegrave and 20-year-old Aaron Joseph Brass.
Colegrave faces charges of:
- flight while being pursued by a peace officer
- assaulting a police officer with a weapon
- resisting arrest
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- robbery with violence
- possession of methamphetamine
Brass is charged with:
- two counts of flight while being pursued by a peace officer
- assaulting a police officer with a weapon
- two counts of resisting arrest
- possession of a prohibited weapon
- possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to prohibition
- possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- robbery with violence
- possession of methamphetamine
