An SUV towing a camper caught fire after veering away from another car Friday morning on Highway 6, just north of Regina.
The northbound SUV steered away from another car, ended up hitting the ditch, rolling, and catching fire. Both the camper and the SUV were destroyed.
No one was injured in the accident. The five people from Mortlach in the SUV were able to get out before it caught fire.
The southbound car was driven by a 16-year-old who stayed at the scene as fire and EMS services made arrived. The learner driver was given a ticket for not being accompanied by a qualified driver, though there was another person in the vehicle. Both are from Regina.
