Human remains found on a sandbar near Saskatoon are those of missing man Michael O’Keefe, according to his family.
O’Keefe, 80, went missing last May near the Berry Barn after some of his personal possessions were found near the South Saskatchewan River.
An exhaustive search was stopped for the former high school teacher after police believed him to be in the river.
On Saturday, someone called RCMP after finding a body just north of Beaver Creek Conservation Area near Victor Road.
RCMP recovered the body. An autopsy was performed on Tuesday. Police do not suspect foul play.
